Dario Argento’s Trauma; shooting title: Aura’s Enigma

Trauma opens with the murder of a chiropractor late one evening. Argento’s daughter (Asia) plays an anorexic attempting suicide. She is saved by Christopher Rydell, who then buys her breakfast. She runs out and is picked up by youth services and taken back to her parents. That night her mother (Piper Laurie) holds a seance that goes arwy, in which her and her husband are killed. Rydell takes Asia in and helps her find her parents murderer. The special effects were done by Tom Savini. The film is better than some give credit.
